No 5 Chambers Dragonboat

On 16th June 2012, the Dragonboat crew from No 5 Chambers will be taking to the water in Brindley Place to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. BCH provides year round support for some of the region’s most poorly children.

For the past two years, a crew from No 5 Chambers has taken part in the Dragonboat racing, raising over £7,000 towards the Cardiac Unit and the End of Life Care Project. In each year we were highly competitive on the water.

The money raised this year will be going towards the Cancer Unit to increase the number of beds. BCH’s aim is to beat last year’s amount raised which was £38,000.

In 2010, our Oompa Loompas won the fancy dress prize; and in 2011, our Dalmations defended the fancy dress crown. This year we are aiming both to continue our impressive record on the water and to win the fancy dress prize for an unprecedented third consecutive year!

Please give generously – every pound you give will make a difference to the lives of some very poorly children. Come and give us your support on the canal bank – it’s a fantastic family day out.
