Immigration – changes to fees for premium appointments

From 18 August, people booking a premium appointment at a Public Enquiry Office will have to pay the whole of their fees upfront. The premium service is for people in the UK who want to submit their application in person and receive a decision the same day.

The fees, including the premium fee and a non-refundable appointment fee, have to be paid online. If applicants fail to attend their appointment, or cancel it with five or fewer working days’ notice, the £100 appointment fee will not be refunded.

There is more information about the new process on the UK Border Agency website at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk.
