Secrecy still surrounds how an elderly Sikh sustained a serious head injury during an incident at an address in Hockley, Birmingham, on on Wednesday 26 June at which four West Midlands police officers attended. The unnamed man spent at lease three weeks in hospital before being returned to his home, but no information as to the nature of the injuries or if he has sustained long term injury has been released.
IPCC/West Mids Police/ Police and Crime Commissioner have all been contacted by MOJUK asking for more information, as is their want West Midlands police have never given any information on the incident, IPCC issued a statement on 28th June but requests for updates have been refused, IPCC saying they cannot make a statement until their investigation was complete!
Police and Crime Commissioner was contacted on 10th July, he wrote back on the 12th July and he promised to look into the incident and reply with in 20 working days: he didn’t, subsequent messages asking for why MOJUK had not been contacted were ignored until late August, then MOJUK was told P & CC was rather busy but would get back to MOJUK soon. Still waiting and don’t expect MOJUK will ever get the info.

Takeaway Driver To Sue West Mids Police
A takeaway driver is suing police after plain clothes officers smashed his car windows with batons as he made a delivery in Birmingham. The innocent worker had pulled up outside a property in Bournville when four cops appeared from two unmarked vehicles and ordered him out. Fearing he was being car-jacked the terrified driver refused – and says officers then smashed the rear and side windows of his Volkswagen Passat, causing injuries to his head and arm. The Asian takeaway worker, who has never been in trouble with the police, managed to drive away from the scene of what the force later claimed was a stop and search. He and his wife, who witnessed the incident, are now suing West Midlands Police for physical injury and psychological trauma. The officers involved have since faced misconduct hearings after an investigation by bosses and the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) but have kept their jobs.

Serious Assault By Police On Wolverhampton Woman
On 30th June, 2010 Jennifer Cooper of Wolverhampton, was walking down the street outside her home taking some food to her diabetic mother who lives just a few doors away. Without any warning she received a forceful kick in the back so that she fell forward sustaining injuries,
This is her account to us. As she lay curled trying to protect herself she was repeatedly kicked by her attacker, a well built Asian male. She was struck on the head, the genitals and other parts of her body. He put his boot on her neck and applied his full weight making it difficult for her to breathe. A white woman joined in the kicking as Ms Cooper lay on the ground, and both were laughing while they carried out their brutal assault. Ms Cooper tells us she was terrified and screamed out for help. She felt that her attackers intended to kill her. The male attacker was heard to say “you can’t win” and “it’s not going to go anywhere. No one is going to take it to anyone”. The two attackers were not wearing uniform but were seen to use radios to call for support as a number of onlookers had assembled. One witness took a picture on their mobile phone. Ms Cooper said that another witness tried to intervene, protesting at the violence. He was punched by the male attacker. The police were also called by onlookers who dialled 999.
When two armed police officers arrived the attackers went to their separate cars and left the scene hastily after having spoken to the officers. They then took Ms Cooper to Bilston Road Police Station. Ms Cooper was taken to New Cross Hospital because of her injuries. She says that one of the officers who took her told her that her attackers were police officers from Stafford/Brownhills. After treatment returned to Bilston Street where she was questioned about a woman she knew of. She understood that the woman was alleging that Jennifer Cooper “was a dangerous woman” and intended killing police officers, herself and Jenny’s own grandchildren.
