This short note is to advise you about our upcoming Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) seminar in Köln, Germany scheduled for 18-21 November 2013. The Köln program will be conducted by the S2 Institute in conjunction with the International Association of Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP) and the Center for Behavioral Science.
The S2 Anti-Terrorism Officer Course is a 32-hour program designed to prepare security professionals for assignments involving the protection of facilities against terrorist attack. This program provides a detailed exploration of contemporary terrorist methods and best practices in anti-terrorism planning and facility protection as may be applied in a wide range of commercial and government applications.
Since 2002, over 2,400 students worldwide have graduated from the S2/IACSP ATO program including private security professionals from diverse companies and government security professionals from agencies such as the US Capitol Police, Department of Justice, Department of the Treasury, and all branches of the US military. The Anti-Terrorism Officer Course has also been a favorite of non-US government agencies and has been presented in variations for organizations including the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Saudi Arabian National Guard, Abu Dhabi Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA), and the Azeri Ministry of National Security. Our ATO program was also the basis for the new Anti-Terrorism and Facility Security program for the Iraqi Ministry of Interior at the Baghdad Police College.
